TR cutting is pattern technique that was developed by Japanese designer, Shingo Sato. The idea behind TR cutting is to draw style lines on sewn toiles, making sure to hit dart points of the garments and then cut according the drawn style lines, and essentially moving the darts in the process. To me it seems simpler and less complicated compared to drafting the style lines on flat papers.
